Golden State Warriors rookie James Wiseman will be out at least a week after suffering a sprained left wrist in Saturday night’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Wiseman will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days, the Warriors announced Monday.
Wiseman has flashed the potential that made him the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, averaging 12.2 points and 1.3 blocks in 21 minutes per game this season.
However the Warriors last week moved the 19-year-old out of the starting lineup in an effort to improve the team’s defense.
He finished Saturday’s game with 11 points and 9 rebounds in 17 minutes.
