NBA rights All-Star snub by replacing Anthony Davis with Devin Booker

With Anthony Davis set to miss four weeks due to injuries, it’s been announced the Suns star Devin Booker will be replacing him in the All-Star Game.

Social media and NBA fans everywhere collectively lost their minds when the All-Star Game rosters were revealed and Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker somehow was left off the list. Things got so bad, LeBron James even took to Twitter to voice how big of a joke it was.

Well, things have changed. That’s because Booker is officially headed to the All-Star Game after all, replacing the injured Anthony Davis on the roster for the Western Conference.

Devin Booker is all set to replace Anthony Davis on the All-Star Game roster

With Davis out due to his calf/Achillies injuries, replacing him with Booker was an absolute no-brainer decision. The standout shooting guard is in the middle of another fantastic season for Phoenix, as he’s averaging 24.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per contest.

The biggest issue fans had with Booker’s original snub from the All-Star Game this year was that he’s continued to impress. The previous knock on him had been that the Suns weren’t winning enough. Well, that’s not the case in 2020-21, with Phoenix sitting in fourth place of the Western Conference standings with its 20-10 record.

It goes without saying, but Booker has played an enormous role in the team’s success thus far this campaign and he has hopes of leading this team on a deep postseason run. Fortunately for Booker, he’ll enter the stretch of the season with the confidence that he can call himself an All-Star guard.

And when the big game does arrive, you better believe he’ll be ready to put on a show next to James and the rest of the studs from the Western Conference.
